The Ultimate Oatmeal Breakfast

Oatmeal tends to have a pretty bad reputation for taste (or lack there of), texture, appearance, or for whatever other reasons you might have not to like oatmeal. We added in more flavor, a variety of textures, and *tried* to make it look appetizing. Eat this with a side of fruit for a breakfast that start your day with a boost of energy and muscle-repairing protein.

Directions:

  1. Pour about 2/3 cup oatmeal into a microwavable bowl.
  2. Add about 2/3 cup skim milk.
  3. Microwave for 40-50 seconds and stir.
  4. Add 1/2 scoop chocolate or vanilla whey protein powder and stir again.
  5. Microwave it again until it is fully cooked (or to preferred hotness).
  6. Stir in about 1/2 cup Cheerios (if you add them before you are done cooking they will become moist–the objective it to add crunchiness to the oatmeal).
  7. Place 1 tablespoon plain or vanilla yogurt on the top of the mixture.
